Storage

Full-service wine storage encompasses a comprehensive suite of storage and cellaring solutions designed for wine enthusiasts and collectors. At Phenol55, we offer a complete wine storage experience, including multiple storage options, logistics services, and much more.

We generally require customers to maintain an active account for a minimum of 12 months for full inventory and relocation services.
However, we're flexible and can create custom storage solutions based on your specific needs and timeline.

While we have no strict minimum bottle requirement, we do have a $30/month membership minimum (equivalent to 67 bottles in standard storage).

We request members to store wine that has been photographed and inventoried in Phenol55 for a minimum of one year. However, we offer flexibility by parceling out deliveries and orders for members, allowing you to pick up part of your orders while storing the rest for another time. There is no minimum required for wine that we handle solely for logistics, such as receiving or picking up.

You can store your wine for as long as you need! For long-term storage, we provide Glacial Wine Storage, a cost-effective wine storage option at our Walla Walla, WA facility, offering the same full-service member benefits as our active wine storage solutions.

All wine is meticulously stored in custom-configured Phenol55 cardboard boxes, horizontally to preserve cork condition. Our cellar employs a wine Dewey decimal system for organized retrieval.
Rest assured, our facilities are secured with 24-hour security and maintained at ideal climate conditions.

No, we also offer storage for beer and other spirits. Feel free to contact us with any special requests for alternative beverage storage solutions.

Insurance

Yes, we offer a comprehensive coverage policy underwritten by Lloyd’s of London.

Upon becoming a Phenol55 member, you're required to purchase basic coverage, offering $2,500 of protection for $3/month to safeguard your wine while stored or in transit.
You can also opt for standard member coverage, adding coverage in increments of $10,000 for $10/month. There's no maximum coverage limit, and claims have no deductible.

No, our policy doesn't have a deductible. Members receive the full payout on any claim, up to the coverage amount purchased.

In the event of loss or damage to your wine at Phenol55 or during its handling, we'll file the claim with Lloyd's of London on your behalf.
Technology

When you join Phenol55 and after we input your initial bottles, you will be given a login & password to our Member Site.

In our digital cellar tasting notes, we provide links to CellarTracker for easy navigation to CellarTracker reviews and data from the Phenol55 site. We are in process of developing more direct integration with CellarTracker.

Yes, you can add personal tasting notes on any of the bottles of wine in your Phenol55 cellar.
Pricing & Billing

Phenol55 has different billing frequencies for various services.
We bill quarterly for standard storage and services, consolidating all related fees onto a single invoice.
Insurance is billed annually, while Glacial Wine Storage includes billing for all three years of storage in advance, with other associated fees billed at the time of service.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, including American Express, and also offer the option to pay by check.

The intake fee covers a range of services, including inventorying, photographing, entering each bottle into our software system, and physically packaging and placing the bottle into our cellar. This meticulous process combines technology and wine storage to create an exceptional experience.

With the exception of early removal of bottles from Glacial Wine Storage, we do not charge for pulling wine out of storage.
